True, but is there a reason it's like that or did someone just think second person should be special? Then again, first person singular gets its very own word, so I guess it's even more special... Though really it seems like the verb "to be" is the special one, most verbs don't seem to have nearly as many forms... Eh, I need to stop thinking about English before my head starts hurting.

"Are" is also the second person singular. In Modern English, the only real place you'd use it in this sense is in conjunction with "You."
